Mohawk steps out with 5 fins and an elegant stepped shoulder design. Got twin 4's with real tight spacing? The selection of air cleaners for you has been pretty slim right? Many manifolds out there position the carbs with only 6-7/16" center to center. One variation features a 1/4" offset base to deal with this problem - a simple solution to an old issue. Another variation uses a straight base. If running twin carbs, measure your center to center dimensions. We use our Platinum Series air filter (See Details below) with A-356 aircraft grade castings for a show quality product. Prefer to have an unpolished finish? Just select your choice above. Hardware furnished includes a polished stainless socket drive top screw. Diameter 6-3/4" - Height 4-1/8". Fits carbs with the typical 5" base.

About our Platinum Series air filters: We took a totally fresh look at the sometimes unattractive stuff out there and decided to do better. Our filter media is a medium gray, washable oiled cloth. Color wise, it blends with everything in the engine compartment. We specified stainless steel mesh instead of the normal black painted steel mesh to hold it together. The stainless adds a lot of sparkle to what is normally a pretty mundane looking item. Next, we required our supplier to mold the rubber ends very cleanly. Have you ever noticed how irregular and sloppy some brands are in this area. The end result is a filter we can each be proud of, and that will look great for many years.
