Thermal and Noise Insulation
When restoring the interior of your classic car the elements of comfort come to mind. The argument goes something like this…..I like my modern everyday car for its consistency of temperature control and low noise levels which make it pleasurable to drive. So how can I preserve originality and yet move more in this direction so that I get greater use and enjoyment from my jalopy?
One area in which to pay attention is to insulate the car to achieve thermal and acoustic improvements. Generally your 25 year old plus vehicle has elementary insulation, and most of it has decayed with time, temperature and humidity.
As we restore vehicles, our approach is that a good foundation needs to be laid in order to achieve the optimum interior comfort.
